Satia ("Satia," "we," "us," or "our") is published by Alifba LTD ("Alifba"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Satia mobile app, why we collect it, and how it's used, shared, and protected.

Who this applies to

Satia is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

Subscription information	Your subscription status and plan, managed through the App Store or Google Play and our subscription provider

How we use your information

To provide and personalize the core features of Satia — generating meal suggestions, tracking your logged meals, and adapting content to your allergies and preferences
To operate your account, including authentication and syncing your data across devices
To process photos or text you submit through AI features, in order to generate suggestions
To understand how the app is used, so we can improve it
To manage subscriptions and free trials, where applicable
To communicate with you about your account or respond to support requests

Third-party services we use

We work with the following third-party service providers to operate Satia. Each processes a limited set of data as described below:

PostHog	Product analytics, to understand how the app is used	Usage events, device/app metadata. We do not send health-related information (such as allergies or dietary preferences) to PostHog.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how it handles data on our behalf. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies for more detail.

Photos and AI processing

When you use Satia's photo-based features (such as photographing a meal or a restaurant menu), that image is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a suggestion. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and photos are processed only to generate the suggestion you requested.

Data storage and retention

Your account data, logged meals, and preferences are stored via Firebase and retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, to the extent necessary for them to perform their function, and where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If you are in the UK or EU, these rights arise under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rimshadpcs@gmail.com. You can also delete your account directly within the app, under Profile → Settings → Delete account.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including those provided by Firebase, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process and store data outside of your country of residence, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards required under applicable data protection law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
